A Journey from Iranian Architecture to Modern Life

The core idea behind the design of Vadi Authentic Iranian Restaurant is to recite classical Iranian tales in a modern language. The wooden partitions feature engravings of Attar's seven valleys of love in a modern graphic form, while traditional Iranian floral motifs ascend on the walls from floor to ceiling. The sharp colors of the furniture add a touch of modernity to the overall design.

The uniqueness of this design lies in its ability to take visitors on a journey from the complexity of mysterious Iranian architecture to the simplicity of modern life. The restaurant, with an area of 280 sqm and a capacity of 103 seats, showcases the beauty of Iranian culture in a contemporary setting.

The design of Vadi Authentic Iranian Restaurant draws inspiration from Iranian carpets, with two-dimensional motifs represented in a three-dimensional form. The wall panels are made from laser-cut MDF boards, featuring the intricate floral motifs. Glass partitions, printed with traditional Iranian paintings, separate the VIP seats from the rest of the restaurant. The major light sources are concealed by stretch ceilings, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.

The project, which started in May 2014 and finished in February 2015, is located in IKIA Novotel, adjacent to Tehran's new international airport. The design team, led by Shiva Aghababaei, included various professionals such as interior designers, graphic associates, landscape designers, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and contractors.

Vadi Authentic Iranian Restaurant was recognized for its exceptional design and received the Iron A' Design Award in 2016. This award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The restaurant's design integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its visitors.
